DEPRESSION

This is the common cold of mental illness. Nearly everyone will suffer from some depression at some point in their life. Sometimes the depression can become severe enough that your life can be severely affected and if left untreated, it can be fatal. All of our staff are skilled in treating this common disorder and helping people to recover from it so they can resume leading a happy normal life. We coordinate care with Primary Care Physicians and Psychiatrists in the community to ensure a speedy recovery from this disorder. Also, keep in mind, with adolescents and children, depression can look like an OPPOSITIONAL DEFIANT/CONDUCT.
